CFlo Europe has joined the Washed Aggregates Trade Association (WATA UK) as a service supplier member, a move that matters to institute professionals as water recycling suppliers seek formal standing within trade bodies just as UK water abstraction rules tighten. CFlo Europe, incorporated in April 2026 as CFlo World's UK and European sales and service hub, is based in Belfast.

WATA UK is the trade association representing the washed aggregates sector, bringing together operators and suppliers involved in sand, aggregate and recycled material washing.

CFlo Europe supplies modular sand and aggregate washing plants, construction and demolition waste recycling systems, and water recycling equipment for quarrying and mineral processing. Its Combo range operates in 20 countries across more than 500 installations, with water recycling systems designed to recover up to 95 per cent of process water.

The membership responds to a genuine regulatory tightening around quarry water use rather than a routine trade show sign-up.

Since December 2019, quarries in the UK have required an abstraction licence for dewatering, closing an exemption that had existed since 1991, according to Atlantic Pumps. The Water (Special Measures) Act 2025 has since strengthened Ofwat's enforcement powers, adding further pressure on water intensive industries including quarrying.

CFlo Europe co-founder and regional chief executive Enda Ivanoff said, "Joining WATA UK is a natural step as we deepen our engagement with the UK and European markets." WATA UK chief executive Andy Hill said, "The company brings valuable expertise in washing technology and water management, and its modular approach reflects the innovation across our sector."

For the sector, trade body membership gives water recycling equipment suppliers a formal channel into an industry where abstraction compliance is now a legal requirement rather than best practice. For the sector's quarry operators specifically, suppliers claiming up to 95 per cent water recovery and lower power consumption offer a route to managing compliance costs without reducing output.

Whether membership translates into faster UK and European market share gains for CFlo will be the practical test of this step.
