The Korea Billiards Association has entered an official apparel sponsorship with South Korea-based sports lifestyle brand GOAL STUDIO, Gol Studio. The agreement, signed at the 2025 Gwangju World Three-Cushion Billiards World Cup, positions the brand as the association’s official apparel provider for national teams, referees, and tournament officials.
Korea Billiards Association President Seo Su-gil and Wacky CEO Kang Jeong-hoon attended the signing, marking a strategic collaboration aimed at modernising the sport’s branding and strengthening its appeal among younger audiences.
The partnership aligns the association with GOAL STUDIO’s contemporary design ethos, supporting efforts to project billiards as a lifestyle sport. Both organisations plan joint marketing and content initiatives to blend sports and fashion, positioning billiards as a dynamic and culturally relevant activity in South Korea.
As part of the launch, Wacky distributed its best-selling ‘GRAB-ITY BALANCE PRO SLIDE’ slippers to event participants. The product, with over 400,000 pairs sold, was well-received for comfort and design, reinforcing the brand’s visibility and connection to the sport.
The Korea Billiards Association highlighted that the collaboration will not only update the sport’s visual identity but also enhance private sector engagement and international competitiveness. By leveraging a globally recognised sports culture brand, the association seeks to expand its influence and attract broader commercial partnerships.
This partnership is expected to serve as a model for combining sports administration with lifestyle branding, enabling associations to generate new revenue streams, modernise member experiences, and strengthen stakeholder engagement across events and tournaments.
